Focus on Sustainability
Instruments leaving the workshop are either built from refurbished units or built new, making use of woods like Paulownia, incredibly lightweight without comprising on tone.
Paulownia wood is one of the fastest growing trees in existence. Combined with the careful and patient application of many coats of highly sustainable Tung Oil,
these guitars are built in an environmentally conscious manner, hardly seen in the industry due to the time and effort involved.
Surreal Aesthetics
Each design is achieved through the application of an 8,000 volt electrical current to the surface of the wood.
This process scorches deep grooves directly into the body of the guitar.
These lightning shaped branches are then filled with an epoxy resin, restoring tone and strength to the body whilst adding a new dimension to the aesthetic.
Most popular among the designs are those that give out a soft glow under the right lighting conditions.
Flexible Working Methods
The GizMo workshop can provide you with fully finished guitars or body-only for the luthiers looking to build their own.
We can even discuss the possibility of applying the process to a guitar you currently own.
